David Leiter founded Leiter Property Management (LPM) in 1998 after noticing a lack of professional management companies in the New York City area. With a philosophy to treat clients’ properties as our own, LPM soon became the “go-to” company for new condominiums that weren’t adequately serviced.

The LPM team solved construction issues, collaborated with sponsors, and offered improved management services to prepare buildings for long-term success. The word about our responsiveness, professionalism, honesty, and competency spread, and LPM quickly expanded throughout North Brooklyn.

Now, over 20 years later, LPM has grown significantly and earned the title of “Brooklyn’s, and New York City’s, most trusted Management company.”

LPM’s success has largely to do with our company’s expert knowledge, caring culture, and commitment to making clients happy. Currently led by Diane Roman, LPM’s founding philosophy remains unchanged, and we continue to seek constant improvement, hold ourselves to a higher standard, and strive to deliver more than any other company.

Note from our Founder

Back in 1998, I bought my first property—a small three-family building in Queens. From taking out the garbage to making repairs, I had to do everything myself. Eventually, I purchased more buildings and served on many boards of directors. I dealt first-hand with management companies and saw what frustrated residents.

I used the unique insight I gained from being a resident, owner, and board member as the basis to train the Leiter Property Management (LPM) team. The entire company was built around solving the common issues and difficulties, and I truly believe we have a higher standard because we’ve been on both sides of the property management experience.
